[Rosinante is following a younger version of himself like he's a kid again, absolutely pleased with the idea of fishing, of having a potential friend, of teaching him magics maybe. That's the most exciting part to him, seeing if something exclusively from his world will translate to Rosinante. He loves magic, without it he'd be absolutely unable to effectively communicate, notes alone aren't enough. So this is important to him, something more precious than just teaching a skill.
